قرأت الكتاب 。。 الذي يتحدث عنه الملايين 。。 هناك كتب تختلف معها ولكنها تثير التأمل 。。 هذا الكتاب فشل حتى في هذا 。。 لا قرأت فيه أفكارا عبقرية ولا غيرها 。。 تجميعات لأفكار تناقض بعضها بعضا وتحمل أنفاس الحقد والجنون والتخبط بلغة رديئة 。。 لم أردى فيها حتى الشاعرية المتوهمة التي يتحدثون عنها 。。 حقيقة لم أجد فيه لا متعة ولا إفادة 。。 هناك من الكتب من لا يستحق حتى النجمة الواحدة 。。 هذا منها 。。

This is truly an awful book。 In it， Nietzsche attempts to rival the Bible in style， using allegory and story-telling to bring his point across。 His point being the death of God and the nature of humanity - humanity being a temporary bridge between animal and superhuman。As usual， he fulminates against the Church; against philosophers and their metaphysical delusions and wishful thinking; against all preachers of morality; against democracy， the state and notions like justice and equality; against This is truly an awful book。 In it， Nietzsche attempts to rival the Bible in style， using allegory and story-telling to bring his point across。 His point being the death of God and the nature of humanity - humanity being a temporary bridge between animal and superhuman。As usual， he fulminates against the Church; against philosophers and their metaphysical delusions and wishful thinking; against all preachers of morality; against democracy， the state and notions like justice and equality; against contemporary culture; against science even。 He uses the prophet Zarathustra as a platform to explain his worldview。 This prophet is supposedly the inventor of the religious distinction Good-Bad which has subsequently become so influential in monotheistic religions （especially Christianity）。 But as opposed to the real Zarathustra， Nietzsche's Zarathustra seems to be a reflection of the author himself， doing all he can to teach young people to learn to think for themselves and "philosophize with the hammer" - one ought to own up to the fact that world is meaningless and valueless， it is only our own valuations that give meaning to the world。We should realize we are creators， not some God or some fictional idols such as morality or truth。 We create the world， we give it meaning。 It is just that we have forgotten this very important aspect of our existence， we have been deluded - on purpose - into thinking that we ought to obey objective standards like truth， beauty and goodness。 This is all a trick， brought to us through education and teaching。 It is only when we learn to think and live for ourselves again - to be a free spirit （Freier Geist） - that we can see our role as chain in the link between animal and superhuman （Übermensch）。 This last notion is important， since it is often misunderstood。 Nietzsche doesn't mean a new （biological） race of human beings; nor does he mean that one can transform into a superhuman。 We are all stepping stones to this future being。 Understanding our role in this play is crucial， and it mostly consists in realizing that life is what it is， and how we choose to behave towards it。 We should embrace our will to live， express our will to power in the world， and love our destiny as the being we are。 The idea of an "eternal recurrence of the same" （ewige Wiederkehr des Gleichen） underpins all of this: we should live like everything we have experienced and done - all the good， the bad， and everything in between - will happen forever and ever again。 A vital human being will not only accept this fate， but fully embrace it as the summum bonum of existence。 As a side note: I always find Nietzsche's view （or discovery？） of nihilism fascinating。 It is the tension between our desire for objective truth， beauty and goodness - or ultimately， meaning - in the world and the total lack of any such thing after honest thinking。 We can't escape this tension， in a sense we - as human beings - are this tension。 It runs through all of Nietzsche's work: in his Zarathustra we see a prophet proclaiming to his following that all doctrines of truth and meaning are false at best and tools of oppression （by weaker beings） at worst。 Yet the fact that he utters this as he sends his following on their way with a clear direction - go， travel， live alone， and learn to distrust me - seems to imply a doctrine in itself。 Anyway， these are some of the key ideas in Thus Spake Zarathustra。 Like I said， I don't appreciate Nietzsche's stylistic choices and I find the whole Biblical imitation more annoying than attractive。 Also， it becomes pretty boring after having read some paragraphs。 Nietzsche always claimed his Zarathustra was his central work and the best written one at that; I hesitate to object。 Yet， I can see why people would appreciate this work above some of his other works。 For me， I'd rather stick with works like Human， All too Human， Beyond Good and Evil and The Genealogy of Morals。 。。。more

My first Nietzsche and apparently I should have saved this one for last。 I also tried two different translations before settling on this one which I recommend。 So， Besides these errors and set backs I found Thus Spoke Zarathustra to be a fascinating read。 I found the first thru third parts to be spectacular。 Alas， The fourth section was not as good。 Still， worth the effort but as I stated don’t start with this one perhaps try Beyond Good and Evil first。 Keep a highlighter handy as Nietzsche com My first Nietzsche and apparently I should have saved this one for last。 I also tried two different translations before settling on this one which I recommend。 So， Besides these errors and set backs I found Thus Spoke Zarathustra to be a fascinating read。 I found the first thru third parts to be spectacular。 Alas， The fourth section was not as good。 Still， worth the effort but as I stated don’t start with this one perhaps try Beyond Good and Evil first。 Keep a highlighter handy as Nietzsche comes up with the most amazing quotes。 He can be long winded at times as well。 His writing style changes constantly and can be confusing。 If you find a section difficult to follow just google it and it will all make sense in the end。 。。。more
